Claire Eldred

Acting Director

I joined the DSUK team in March 2020 as Head of Marketing and Communications and became Acting Director in July 2022.

My role at DSUK is to look after the daily running of the charity and to ensure we meet our strategic objectives. We want to reach more families, to deliver research that puts family needs first, to improve awareness and understanding amongst professionals, particularly in adult neurology and social services, and to give families the tools and support needed to assert their rights. 

Prior to joining DSUK, I worked in healthcare communications for more than 15 years.

It's a privilege to be part of the Dravet Syndrome community and I am inspired every day by the amazing children and adults living with this condition and their families.
